President’s message
Everyone here at the HCSA is looking forward to the History Festival this coming month. Looking at the programme, it’s going to be an extremely busy 31 days!

We’re particularly excited to be a part of the History Trust’s closing event on 31 May at Ayers House, where we’ll be bestowing our highly coveted Historian Awards on some deserving recipients.

Before that, I’ll also take the opportunity to talk about the ‘state of history’ on Tuesday 27 May at Ayers House. You can get tickets here.
I hope to see some of you there.

This month of history-related events is also a great time to renew your membership with the History Council, to support our fellowships, awards, events and advocacy on behalf of all things history. You can find all the details here.

I’ll see you at the History Festival!

Matt Fitzpatrick
